The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
